The Boys Next Door are four mentally-disabled adults -- Norman, Barry, Arnold and Lucien -- who are monitored by a social worker. Over the course of two months, vignettes outline the difficulties and achievements of life as a disabled adult. When one of the boys has a breakdown, and the other is dragged in front of a court, their caretaker fears that she can no longer handle the responsability of watching over four adult lives.
